Each year I set aside some time to look back on all yes, all images I’ve taken throughout the last 365 days. It’s a time I look forward to each year because it allows me to reflect, laugh again, feel encouraged by growth, humbled by the opportunities, and grateful for the people I was allowed the opportunity to serve that year. I don’t choose images for this post from every gallery as that would be quite overwhelming! But I do look through each gallery to choose some of my personal favorite images.

A “favorite” image can be anything from an emotional moment, a composition that I loved, a tricky situation I was able to overcome, incredible light that makes me happy, or pretty much anything that catches my eye or sparks a creative excitement within me. These are not necessarily the best images of 2021, just some of my personal favorites. For this post I am focusing on just portraits. That can mean anything from family, newborn, or engagement sessions.
