It’s hard to believe we have already been married for TWO years! Whoever “they” are sure did know what they were saying when they said “time flies when you’re having fun!” That or you just get busy and older and the years somehow seem to grow shorter. Whatever it is, I’m sure glad these last two years have been with David!
If you follow along here, you know we spent our second wedding anniversary on my DREAM vacation in Charleston, South Carolina. It was everything I hoped it would be but with a whole lot heat and sweat added in. You can read all about our trip and the things we did over at OUR CHARLESTON ANNIVERSARY TRIP RECAP!
It has always been a dream of mine to have photos taken in Charleston and also have the opportunity to photograph a session as well. It took me about two seconds after booking our trip to reach out in photography groups on Facebook and start Instagram stalking to find another photographer in the Charleston area that would be interested in trading sessions with us – they photograph our anniversary session, I photograph them. I found a few people interested and even had one fellow photographer on board until about a month or so before our trip. After finding out she was no longer able to meet with us, I started frantically reaching out to photographers I loved on Instagram to see if they were interested and available on such late notice… I mean, September 1st is the beginning of crazy season for all photographers after all! Thankfully, I came across Laura and Rachel, a mother + daughter team who recently moved to Charleston from California after falling in love with the southern charm. I reached out to Laura and she was so great! We made plans, I told her all the places I dreamed of having our photos taken, she created a plan (with location drop-pins and everything) and I was PUMPED!! And David was, well, happy for me 🙂
I cannot even begin to rave about Laura and Rachel enough! It was an honor to be able to shoot some branding photos for them in their new home around downtown Charleston! Charleston is like a photographer’s dream playground and I’m pretty sure I could have spent several more hours photographing them downtown and their families at the beach! But that’s not the point of this post. The point is to show off all the AMAZING images they took of David and I for our anniversary! I’m still in awe!! We hit all the Charleston places my heart could fathom: Mills House, downtown, oak trees, and beach! It was so much fun, so hot, and SO worth it! I cannot wait to display them all over our home!!
Sorry Babe – $$$
Because I know I will get asked as I already have, I got BOTH of my dresses from Amazon! Don’t even ask David how many dress I bought before I found the perfect ones…. But I finally found the ones I loved!
